French Paper Pattern

Today's video shows a unique French paper pattern that means zig-zag or chevron.  Another Demonstrator, Beverly Jackson, introduced this to our team, and I chose to share it with you this evening.

Looking at the card it appears like it would take a lot of time and work.  That is not true.  It's much easier than it looks.  Here is what you need:

• Base card: 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 I used Fresh Fresia in my video
• Second base: 6 x 6  Basic White
• Third base: 5 x 4 Basic White
• (8) 6 x 3/4 strips of Designer Series Paper Dandy Designs
• Fresh Fresia Cardstock
• Basic White Cardstock
• Fresh Fresia Ribbon
• Bone Folder
• Multipurpose Liquid Glue
• Paper Snips
• Paper Trimmer

Glue your 6 x 3/4 strips to the 6 x 6 base, then cut 1/2 inch strips.  You will need at least 10 strips for the next part.  

Place the half strips on the 5 x 4 base, arranging them at different heights on the base.  When finished, trim the edges.

With Stampin Dimensionals, adhere the 5 x 4 base to your base card.

Add a sentiment and you're done!

Fun Fold Horizontal Pocket Card

This is our second pocket card.  It is just as easy and fun to create as the one we did last Tuesday.  I call this a Horizontal Pocket Card. Again, I was inspired with this pocket card, by another demonstrator, Jackie Bolhuis.

Here's What you will need:

• Base Card:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 2-1/2" and 6-1/2" Starry Sky Cardstock
• Designer Series Paper (In Colors 22-24) 5-1/4" x 2-1/4" for top flap of the card                                    5-1/4" x 1-3/4" for the bottom flap of the card 

• Inside card: 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" Basic White Cardstock

Fun Fold Vertical Pocket Card

This blog is a Fun Fold Card.  I call it the Vertical Pocket Card. I absolutely love making this card. It's so fun and easy to make!  Here's what you will need:

• Base:  4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
• Designer Series Paper: 10-1/3" x 4", scored at 5-1/4" and 9-1/4" Dainty Designs Paper
• Strip:  1/4 Strip as a belly band to secure the pocket, showing where the pocket begins and ends

• Inside Layers for message:  3-5/8" x 4-7/8" Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
•                                              3-1/2" x 4-3/4" Basic White Cardstock

• Top Focal Point:  2-1/2" square: Basic White Cardstock

Split Fun Fold Card

Today I put together a simple card, called a Split Fun Fold card.  You can make this card in a portrait or landscape view.  I've chosen to do a portrait. It's a unique-looking card and lots of fun to put together.  This is what you will need:

3 pieces of Calypso Coral Cardstock: 

• 7" x 4-1/4", scored at 1-1/2"
• 4-1/2" x 2-1/2"
• 1-1/2" x 4-1/4"

4 pieces of Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper:

• (2) 1-1/4" x 4"
• 4-1/4" x 2-1/4"
• 4" x 2"

2 pieces of Basic White:  

• 5-1/4" x 4"
• 3\4" x 2-1/4"

Crumb Cake:

• 2" x 1"

Cardstock Scraps of:

Key To My Heart

 We have already dived into the year 2023 with lots of new stamps, paper, and bundles.  Without exception Paper Pumpkin has sent out a fun, colorful kit, preparing for Valentine's Day.  It is called "Key To My Heart."

Enjoy The Moment

I don't know about you, but I am beginning to tire of the cold winter months.  So, I decided to do a card that was on the "springy" side.  However, among our days of doom and gloom, or perhaps difficult times in our lives, we need to redirect our thoughts and start to enjoy our moments.

Here's what you need:

• Base card: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Starry Sky Cardstock
• First Layer: 5-1/4" x 4" Old Olive Cardstock
• Top Layer: 5" x 3-3/4" Country Gingham Designer Series Paper
• Inside Layer: 5-1/4" x 4" Basic White
• Scrap of Crushed Curry Cardstock
• Easter Bunny Bundle (stamp set and punch)
• Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad
• Water colored pencils
• Stampin' Seal
• Stampin' Dimensionals
• Paper Snips
• Paper Trimmer

I first stamped my images and colored them.  Then I stamped my sentiment or greeting.

I assembled the card by gluing the layers on top of each other.  I used the punch to punch out the bunny on the left.  I had to fussy cut all of the other images.  With Stampin' Dimensionals I added the images to the top of the card.
