Vertical Flap Fun Fold Card

Today, I am sharing a fun spring-like vertical fun fold card, using the new colors that are arriving this week!  Lolly Lemon, Asure, Pecan Pie, and Bubble Bath!  Here's what you will need:

PAPER

• Lolly Lemon  11" x 4-1/8" scored at 2"-7/8" (flip your paper to the other side) score at 2"-3/4"
• Azure 4" x 2-5/8"
• Pecan Pie
• Basic White
• 4" x 5-1/4"
• 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"       
  
• 2-3/4" square

INK

• Pecan Pie Classic Stamp Pad
• Tuxedo Black Memento

Fun Fold Flap Card

Today I shared with you the new In Colors for 2023-2025 in the demonstration of this Fun Fold Flap Card.  In this demonstration I used all 5 in colors, but in separate products.

Here's what you will need:

PAPER

• Card Base: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4" I used Pebble Path.
• Top Layer:  5-1/4" x 4" I used Boho Blue for the purpose of this demonstration, but most will use a Designer Series Paper.
• Flap:  3-1/4" x 5-1/2," scored at 1/2" I used the Wild Wheat.
• (3) Pieces of Basic White:
• 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" is placed on the center of the top layer (the flap will cover it)
• 4" x 5-1/4" for the inside layer
• 3" x 3-3/4" placed on top of the flap.

Gateway Fun Fold

Welcome Back!  This post is all about the Gateway Fun Fold Card.  I got this idea from the demonstrator, Jackie Bolhuis.  I have enjoyed learning a lot of different fun folds through her. Like the Double Fun Fold Card, this one is also very simplistic and has a belly band.  So let's get started.

Here's what you will need: 

PAPER

Base Card: 11" x 5-1/2" I used Night of Navy Cardstock

• Score at 1-1/4" and 3-3/8"
• Flip the paper over to the other side and score again at 1-1/4" and 3-3/8"
• Belly Band is 1" x 10" to wrap around the entire card.

Inside Layer: 5-1/4" x 4" Basic White Cardstock

Also needed is a scrap of cardstock for your sentiment. 

Panels are made using Designer Series Paper   I used a new DSP coming out in our 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.  The name of it is Countryside Inn DSP.  This paper will be available for you in the month of May.

• (2) 1" x 5-1/4"
• (2) 1-3/4" x 5-1/4"

STEPS

1. Start by cutting all your pieces of cardstock.
2. Emboss and Stamp everything that needs it.
3. Assemble and jazz it up with your embellishments!

Double Side Fun Fold

Today I am going to share with you another fun fold that I learned from one of Stampin' Ups! demonstrators, Jackie Bolhuis.  I call it the Double Side Fun Fold Card.

This card is really easy to do and it doesn't take much time at all.  You will need the following materials to complete this card:

PAPER

Base Card:  11" x 5-1/2" (I used Starry Sky)

• Score this base in three places, 1-1/4," 5-1/2," 9-1/4"

You will also need a strip that is 1" x 9-3/4" of the color of your base card.  This will serve as your belly band.

You will then need to choose a Designer Series Paper (DSP) that will go with the paper base color that you are making your card with.  I have chosen to use up some of my stock, so I used a retired set called, Dainty Flowers.  4 strips will need to be cut from your Designer Series Paper.

• (2) 1" x 5-1/4" 
• (2) 1-1/2" x 5-1/4

Inside Layer:  4" x 5-1/4" Basic White

Finally, you will need a punch or die cut to stamp your sentiment.  I used Layering Circles.

STEPS TO FOLLOW

1. Cut all the paper you need.
2. Stamp your sentiment.
3. Using your bone folder, make your folds.
4. Adhere all DSP, the inside card, and the sentiment/focal point.
5. Place the belly band on, attaching the ends together in the back of the card.  Make sure the band is not too tight so that it can easily slide on and off the card.

Masking Layers

Hello!  I want to start out this post by apologizing.  For some reason, there was a technical glitch yesterday and my video never was fully uploaded.  It's been corrected today and you should be able to view it and see how masking with layers works.

There is a pack of masks called, "Loveliest Layers Decorative Masks". This set is actually retiring at the end of the month, so if you are interested in these, you will want to purchase them immediately before supplies run out.  They are found in our Mini Catalog, and they are on sale, originally $10.00, now $7.35.

I chose to do a video on masking for a couple of reasons.  1)  I knew the pack would soon be retired, and 2) I had purchased the materials needed to do the video, just never got around to it.

In the video, I show how to make a card by sponge painting with the layering masks, and I showed the way to use the masking paste to create another beautiful and unique card.  The following supplies are what I used for my demonstration, however, you can use any colors and products you wish to use.

Card One:  Masking by Sponging
