Hope Box

I received my Paper Pumpkin--Hope Box in the mail this week.  It was so fun to open up.  So many colorful items!  I'm still dreaming about what I can put in my box, or who I would want to give the box to, but I thought I would at least share the cards that I had made.   It was so much fun to receive!

Here's a picture of what all three cards look like:

Peaceful Cabin Suite

Our Peaceful Cabin Suite can be found on page 36-38 of our July - December 2021 Mini Catalog. The bundle consists of the Stamp set and the Die Cuts.  You can also find the following items, displayed in pictures below: Our Snowy White Velvet Sheets.  They are really soft! Our Subtle Shimmer Sequins, and our White Glittered Organdy Ribbon. The Designer Series Paper comes in two sheets of 6 designs, doubled sided with different designs. The colors used are Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Black, Silver and White.

I started out on Tuesday of this week (8/17/21) by showing how to make some Gifts Tags or Ornament Tags. The only thing I added to this, that is not found in the suite are the Wonderful Snowflakes, found on page 25.  They give and iridescent shine to your paper project!

Wednesday, the 18th, I showed how to make a Panoramic Picture card. I showed how you could separate "panels" of DSP to give it a panoramic look, adding the ribbon for a nice touch.  The sentiments were inked around the sides of the top piece to give it a frame, and some silver metallic gems were added to give them an "attached" look.

Thursday, the 19th, I made what I called Framed Cards.  I used my Rectangle Stitched Dies to cut out the center of a 5-1/4" X 4" piece of Basic White Cardstock and the Snowy White Velvet Sheet.  The card picturing the cabin was a stamped image embossed with our Stampin" Up! black embossing powder which gave the image a shiny look.  The trees were cut out of the three different shades of our Silver Foil Specialty Pack, found on page 23. I then added some of the Subtle Shimmer Sequins.  The card with the tree background, I stamped and cut out a fox with our Peaceful Cabin Stamps and Die Cuts.  I also used the snowflake die in the set to make the small flakes that were added.  Both greetings were stamped with stamps from a retired set, called Endless Wishes.  I couldn't find the sentiments that I wanted for these cards in the stamp set from this suite, so I looked for something I thought was more fitting.

Tomorrow I am going to take a break from our Christmas Cards and take a look at this months Paper Pumpkin--the Hope Box.

Simple Sunday--Penguin Place

Before I get into telling you all about this exciting Stamp set, I want to note that you can click on any picture to get a closer look, should you choose to do so.  Today, I am introducing you to one of the fun holiday stamps sets from our July-December 2021 Mini Catalog and Sale a Bration brochure.  It's a fun, rollicky stamp set which I'm sure you will enjoy!  Out of this set I put together materials for 4 cards and a tag.  One anniversary, one birthday and two winter/Christmas looks.  I also added a tag that can be used as a gift tag, or an ornament for a tree.  The stamp set that I used is Penguin Place.  It comes as a bundle, so I also have the punch that goes with it.

This also comes with it's very own Designer Series Paper that shows Penguins, Polar Bears and Foxes.  The reversible sides show different patterns with all of the colors found in this set...Soft Seafoam, Calypso Coral, Fresh Freesia, Misty Moonlight and Just Jade.

Other tools and embellishment that I used were the Layering Circle Dies, Wonderful Snowflakes, A tag from the Pillow Box Dies, Matte Black Dots, Holiday Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Fresh Freesia and Just Jade Ribbons.  Enjoy the cards!

Pretty Pillowbox Dies

Today I'm working with one of our die cuts that is featured on page 9 in our July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.  It is the Pretty Pillowbox Dies.

This set of dies make a cute and creative gift to share with friends and family during this Christmas season and at any other time of the year.  I see these as Birthday treats, shower or wedding favors, teacher treats even.  Teacher's could even use this to make treats for their class.  These boxes can be used to put together little thank you gifts or thinking of you gifts.  There are a variety of uses and you may come up with some great ideas of your own!

Below you will see three  pillow boxes put together:

1) with the dies and our Frosted Gingerbread stamp set--using some of the Gingerbread and Peppermint designer series paper, old olive and real red stamp pads, and real red ribbon.

2) Using the same die set, I made a "plain" pillow box, with one of the edge dies to create a lacy look. I used our Bermuda Bay and Pool Party Cardstock.

3) Using our Shaded Spruce and Real Red cardstock I made this pillow box with the same die set.  I dressed up the box with our Pearl Basic Jewels and Glittered Organdy Ribbon.  The ribbon is new and is found on page 37 of our Mini Catalog.  Before assembling the box, I cut out a set of holes on the top and bottom of the pillow box.  I then adhered the poinsettia plants with some glue dots, and added the pearl basic jewels.  I assembled the pillow box and then inserted the ribbon through the bottom holes and then the top holes (one end of the ribbon through each hole) closing the top and tying a bow.

I'm sure you could come up with a variety of ways to dress up your pillow boxes as well.  If you do, send me some pictures!  I will include them in my posts!

Scraps Continued

To show you the variety of cards you can make with your scraps,  here is a couple more cards using the same Cardstock, In Colors 2020-2022, Misty Moonlight (153081), Just Jade (153079), our Basic White Cardstock (159276) and the now retired enamel dots.  You can get the 2020-2022 Square Gems (155572).  I just haven't purchased them yet.  I also used the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper (155605) all which are shown in the previous post.

The only material used that is different is shown below. The first card uses one of our retired stamp sets called Bella and Friends. I also used our Pumpkin Pie (154897), Crumb Cake (154882) and Daffodil Delight (154883) Blending pens--all the lighter shades of each combo. The second card is using the Many Messages stamp set (154510) and the Messages Die Set (154422).

You have now seen three cards made from the same scraps of paper and I still have left overs!  Imagine the possibilities yet to come!

Simple Sunday--Scraps

Every paper crafting person accumulates a lot of scrap paper from all of the projects that they do.  I'm getting better at looking in my scrap box before grabbing a fresh new set of papers, as it took me awhile to learn how to use it all.

Today I want to show you what can be done with not only your solid pieces of scrap, but also all the DSP --Designer Series Paper scraps.  Take a look to see how a card like this can be done.  I used the Sweet Symmetry DSP and our Misty Moonlight, Just Jade and Basic White cardstock.

On the card shown here I also used our gems from the In Colors 2020-2022 and our Just Jade Ribbon.  The stamp set used was from our Peekaboo Farm Stamp Set.

Check out how easy it is to put together a beautiful card from all your left overs!  Hmmm--sounds like a pot of soup Grandma would put together!  😊

Template #6

This easy card came from Stamping with Amy K.   It's so quick to put together.  You will absolutely love the quick and easy approach! ...
