Simple Sunday--Triple Time Card

Today, I chose to show you how to make a Triple Time Card.  These cards are put together by layering different size-pieces of paper.  I have chosen to use the Hand-Penned designer series paper and the soft succulent In Color 2021-2023.   The name Triple Time comes from the three layers that are put into the card.

My video shows how to put the card together, including covering up any mistakes.  😀  This card I did find another sentiment to put on it as I never did find the original that I had made.  Regardless, the technique is the same and simple to put together.

Directions:
  • The base of the card is 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4" using the Soft Succulent cardstock (SS)
  • Next layer is 4" x 5-1/4" using the Hand Penned Designer Series Paper (DSP)
  • Third layer is 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" SS
  • Fourth layer is 3" x 4-1/4" DSP
  • Fifth layer is 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" SS
  • Sixth and final layer is 2" x 3-1/4" DSP
  • Add the sentiment of your choice - this one is from the Many Messages stamps & dies bundle
  • Then your ribbon--I used the soft succulent 2021-2023 In Colors

Simple Sunday-Triple Time Card Video is now on my you tube channel.

Final Team Challenge Entry

For my last entry this month, I wanted to do something totally different from a card.  I had been looking at lots of different projects that others have done and I came up with my own idea.  The challenge was to create something using the 2021-2023 In Colors.  I chose the Hand Penned Designer Series Paper because it contained all of the In Colors.  I made 5" squares out of each floral design of the Soft Succulent, Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, and Fresh Freesia.

The butterflies were made from the Butterfly Brilliance Dies, again in all the In Colors, to include the Evening Evergreen.

I placed it all in a 12" x 12" shadow box.  It now proudly sits on display in my craft room.  As you can see, there are other things that you can do with paper crafting and Stampin' Up! ® products.  Let me know what you like to do!

The sentiment also came from the same bundle.

Today I am entering my 9th card--a Thank You card.  These stamps are also from my Flowers of Friendship Bundle.  I colored the flowers with my Daffodil Delight and Shaded Spruce Blends.

Tickled Tuesday--My Favorite Things #3

Today, I am going to show you two ways that you can keep your stamps clean with our Stampin Scrub and our Shammy.  The Scrub is good for cleaning those stamps that you use on blocks.  Once side of the Scrub is wet and the other dry, so you just run your stamp over both sides and you are set. The Shammy comes as a purple pad that you get wet.  I keep mine in a case so that it stays moist.  The Shammy is good to use with the stamps that you use on your Stamparatus.  It's so easy to just wipe it and put the stamp away.  The colors will never wash off the Shammy so it looks really dirty after several uses, but it never spreads previous colors to your stamps.  The colors somehow soak into the pad, but don't disappear.  I don't really understand the science behind it all, but it works great!

Check out my Tickled Tuesday Video to see how they both work!

Cards of Celebration

I put together a birthday card by cutting out 2"squares and then cutting those in half, arranging them on a slim line card to complete a fun design.  Made with Shaded Spruce, Calypso Coral and Just Jade paper.  Evening Evergreen ribbon for the bow was added along with In Color 21-23 Gems.  Happy Birthday stamp was from our Timeless Tulips stamp set.

A rainbow color card to celebrate was put together with Poppy Red, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry paper.  The rainbow image came from our Paper Pumpkin So Cool Kit.  The sentiment was from our Many Messages stamp and die bundle.

Gift Tags

Gift Tags are so simple and fun to make.  This is made from our Color & Contour stamp and die bundle, using Bermuda Bay paper and our Bumble Bee ink. The Evening Evergreen ribbon tops it off. The sentiment comes from our Many Messages stamp and die bundle.  Click on my shop button to get any of these products for yourself and enjoy!

Treat Packaging

Today's challenge was Treat Packaging. I created a treat box.  Using our Love You Always Treat Box, I covered it with Designer Series Paper, and the Blackberry Bliss Ribbon from our Ice Cream Corner Suite.  I then took the stamp and labels from the So Cool Paper Pumpkin kit, along with the Blackberry Ink and put together the sentiment.

These treat boxes are big enough to pour in a bunch of M&M's, a couple of small candy bars, an ice cream coupon, or even some money!  Any receiver would love it!

Team Challenges

At the beginning of this month I introduced you to the beginning of our team challenge for the month of May (See May 7th post)  I spent last weekend putting together all of the projects I needed for this challenge and this week I am sharing them all with my team.  You saw the first two entries that I've done--The Book Binding Card, and the Memo Pads.  Today I am sharing a card made with my punch from my Timeless Tulips Stamp and Punch Bundle.  As you can see I punched my tulips out and made them 3-D.  I stamped the stems and leaves from the stamp set.  I used the Pacific Blue Paper, both cardstock and designer series paper.  I added a bow from my Peacock Blue/Old Olive Ribbon and my sentiment came from my Many Messages stamp & Die Bundle.  It was fun to create this and put it together for my team.  You can shop for any of these projects on my website. Join me tomorrow when you will see my treat packaging!

Memo Pads

Here are the instructions on how to do a memo pad for refrigerator or filing cabinet:

Chip Board (usually from kit or specialty designer series pack) cut to 5 1/2" x 4"

Designer Series Paper 2" x 4" (top half) and 3-1/2" x 4" bottom half

 Accent strip 1/2" x 4"

If you have the Used Playful Alphabet letters, cut 4 of each letter and glued them together, and place the word notes on top.  Or, like I did place an image that you have cut out with a die cut--(flowers, animals, etc.  whichever you prefer).

Attach magnetic strips on back so you can hang it on the fridge or a file cabinet.

Tip: Only attach 1/2 pack of 3"x3" sticky notes. Use some glue to help it hang on.

Book Binding Fold Card

Hello!  Here is the Book Binding Fold Card I promised to put up with all of the details included.  I hope you enjoyed this card, as much as I did making it!

Card Base:  Shaded Spruce 4-1/4" x11", scored at 4" and 5-1/2"

Edge panel, 1-3/8" and upper front layer, 3-1/4"with Meadow Moments embossment:

1/2 square from our Square Vellum Doilies

Lower front layer: Hand Penned DSP, 2-1/8"

Sentiment:  Shaded Spruce background - Everyday Lovely Label Punch, 2",  and Many Messages stamps and die bundle, Memento Ink

Ribbon:  Pale Papaya 5" and 8-1/2"

1) Best way to start is to cut everything out that you need and prepare it for assembly.

2) Add your edge panel

3) Place the 5" ribbon over the front, glue in back, then glue the entire panel down (the card should then open up like a book)

4) Add your upper front layer

5) Add your lower front layer, with vellum doily tucked behind it

6) Add your inside piece

7) Add your sentiment and 8-1/2 " ribbon and you are set to go!

My Favorite Thing #2

This little product is our mini Stampin Cut & Embossing Machine.

When I purchase my stamp sets, if they have a set of dies to go with them, I generally purchase the bundle because you can do so much with them!  This machine allows you to cut out your stamped images to create 3D cards and more!  It's so much fun!  Our mini machine is a new product.  It does an excellent job and is small enough to carry anywhere with you!  Today, for my Tickled Tuesday presentation I want to show you how it can be used for making a Book Binding Fun Fold Card and we are going to put together a Memo Pad that can hang on your refrigerator or filing cabinet.  In my next post, I will feature the finished products with the directions on how to make them.  For now, let's check out my Tickled Tuesday Mini Stampin Cut and Embossing Machine Video!

Simple Sunday--Stamps & Dies

I received a package today, and rather than just putting everything away, I thought I'd show you how to care for your stamps and dies.  I should clarify, these are the red cling stamps.  The photopolymer stamps are taken care of differently and are for another video someday.  I should also let you know that the beginning of the video lagged a bit so my words and mouth don't always work together.  Thankfully, it's short and you won't have to watch my mug for very long! 😊 Check out my Simple Sunday Video and learn how to take care of your items when they arrive!

Tickled Tuesday--The Stamparatus!

April 16th, I shared with you one of my favorite things--the Stamparatus!  I tried to do a video then and unfortunately, it didn't turn out.

Since then I've learned a little more about the technical side of making videos and I am excited to share with you all about my favorite thing!

A friend of mine recently asked me to make some cards for her.  I sent her some samples and the one she chose will allow me to show you how the Stamparatus works.

As stated in my April post, the Stamparatus is a great tool for when you are doing multiple projects.  My friend asked me to make a dozen cards for her and there are four different stamps that are used.  With the Stamparatus I can make each card quickly and efficiently with precise stamping of each image.

Join me as I create these cards with one of my favorite tools from Stampin' Up!® You'll love it as much as I do!

Simple Sunday--What's the Difference?

Every Sunday, I hope to do a quick little post and video on something simple from Stampin' Up!  It can be a very simple card to make, or a quick tip on a on product -- anything short and simple.  Today is going to be a quick tip.

When you start stamping, you can have several ink pads in front of you and you will find that when you have them open they can all look the same and deciphering which ink is what color can be a challenge.  Stampin' Up! has made that real easy for us!

Each stamp pad comes with labels.  1) A label that says what the name of the color is. (It actually comes in four different languages), and 2) a label that shows the actual color.  In my video, I will show you how to set those up so you will never question what ink pad is what color again!  Check it out!

STARS Team Inspiration Challenge

Each month, the Stampin' Up! team that I work with, called STARS, are challenged with creating new cards.  Our leader puts together a sketch for us to follow.  It's up to us to create something from that sketch.

This month's sketch:

To my team:  I put this card together when we had the Connect Four Challenge and I followed the challenge diagonally.  This was then supposed to be a kids card.  I don't have any kid stamps yet, but I don't know any kids that don't like ice cream.  Thus, my creation:

  • Stamping set used: Sweet Ice Cream
  • Base is Bermuda Bay, 4-1/4" x 11," scored at 5-1/2"
  • Top layer is Granny Apple Green,  4-1/4" X 5-1/2"
  • Ice cream cone is punched out of Sweet Ice Cream DSP
  • Tag is Basic White, 3-1/2 x 1"
  • The connect four challenge shows the use of markers needed.
  • I colored the sprinkles stamps with my blending pens to put the sprinkles all over the card.
