Hues of Happiness!

I love a good fun fold card!  And if you do too, you will want to learn all about this one!  It's a simple card to make, but you need to pay close attention when you are making your cuts.  In this card you have two flaps that fold in making it not only fun, but beautiful!  Here's what you'll need:

  • Card Base is 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4" on the portrait side and 5-1/2" on the landscape side, so it has four boxes.

  • You will need (2) 5-1/4" x 4" designer series paper, use one of a simpler DSP or a plain color of cardstock, and one piece should be a busier DSP. You will cut these in half from corner to corner depending upon how you want the lay on your card.
  • You will also need a white piece of 5-1/2" x 4" for the inside of the card and a white piece of scrap for your sentiment.
  • Snips, Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, and embellishments of your choice.
Again, the folds flip out and up to reveal you message inside!  It was so much fun to make! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Because some of what is shown are products from our new Annual Catalog, you will not be able to purchase any of it until May 3rd.  You can begin to start your wish list though!

Teacup Fun!

Nothin' like relaxing with a friend, with a nice cup of tea!

May 3rd our new Annual Catalog comes out and once again Stampin' Up! does not disappoint!

As my first purchase, I chose the Tea Boutique Suite Collection which included the stamps, designer serries paper, and a set of cards and envelopes just for this suite!  My first card, shown above was a blast to make and I know you will enjoy this boutique as well.

I chose the Tea Boutique because it portrays all of the new In Colors for 2022-2024.  If you purchase this set you will have the opportunity to play with the In Colors as well as a new stamp set!

I also bought the glimmer paper that also shows off the new In Colors.  From there, I created my own card and I loved the way they turned out!  Here is an example:

The picture displays the tea boutique designer series paper, the stamp set, the glimmer paper. as well as the cardstock.  The glimmer paper shows each color in a ray of shades.  I cut the teacup on the light side of the sweet sorbet glimmer paper, and I cut the leaf design out on the dark end of the paper. Then I glued them together to make a glimmering, fancy teacup.  It was a blast to do!

You will not be able to order these products until the 3rd of May, but to get an even better glimpse of what's to come, go to my You Tube channel and watch my 20 minute Tickled Tuesday Tea Time video.  Both of these cards will be featured.  If you want to learn more about the In Colors, watch the previous Tickled Tuesday Unboxing video, and then start your wish list!  I have more to share with you in another blog coming up!  Thanks for joining me today!

Mystery Card Challenge

My previous post was about a blog hop that my team does twice a month.  This time I am going to share with you another fun thing we do once a month.  We get together for a zoom meeting, and we are challenged to make a card without seeing what it is.  We are given the measurements and tools needed ahead of time and then during our meeting we assemble it.  Mine always seem to turn out a little funky because I miss a step or something weird like that.  I think I need to learn to listen a little better. ☺  Anyway, I made some more of this mystery card because it was so simple and a lot of fun to do!

Here are the measurements and tools needed:

Card Base:  5-1/2" x8-1/2" Basic White
Colored Layer: 5-1/4" x 4"
One piece of Basic White: 5"x 3-3/4"
Another piece of Basic White: 2-1/2" x 4-1/4"
A strip of Basic White: 4" x 3/4"
A simple pattern of DSP: 3-3/4" x 2-3/4"
A busier pattern of DSP: 2-14" x 4"
Ribbon, embellishments of choice
Adhesive, dimensionals

The DSP and stamp set that was used for these cards are not yet available.  They come from the Hues of Happiness Suite.  The green card has the Pretty Prints DSP.  Both the suite and the designer series papers will be found in the annual catalog coming out May 3rd.  You won't want to miss it!  Other products used are as follows:

Mother's Day!

Looking for an idea to make your Mother's Day card?  Then, this blog is for you!  This card is inspired by my leadership team, Stamping with the Stars, led by Dawn Oleschefske.  We are in the midst of an inspiration blog hop and Mom's and Dad's are our inspiration!  I have chosen a Mother's Day card, since it's not far away!

In creating my card, I tried to use up some of the products that will be retired at the end of this month, however, you can use any Designer Series Paper and combination of colors that you wish to.  Here are the measurements and tools you will need:

  • Card Base:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
  • Colored Layer: 5-1/4" x 4"
  • White Piece: 3-3/4" x 5"
  • Designer Series Paper: 1-1/8" x 5" make sure if your paper is directional that you cut it accordingly
  • Ribbon: approximately 14" long
  • Punch or Die Cuts of your choice
  • Stamp Set
  • Embellishments of choice
  • Trimmer, Adhesive,  Dimensionals, Snips
Key thing to remember:
Glue your DSP to the white piece, stamp your sentiment on it, and then tie your ribbon around it before adhering to the colored layer piece.  Then assemble everything else as you wish!

This is what I used:
