A Bunch of Stamping

Today, I decided to just do a real simple card that just allows us to use two stamps, some paper and some of our blending pens.

  • Cardbase:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Daffodil Delight
  • Top layer: 5-1/4" x 4" Daffodil Delight
  • Inside Card:  5-1/4" x 4" Basic White
  • DSP of choice: 2-1/2" x 3/4"
  • Daffodil Delight Strip: 2-1/2" x 3/4"
  • Stamping Ink Pad:  Early Espresso
  • Stamp Set:  Celebrate Sunflowers
  • Blending Pens:  Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Granny Apple Green, Dark and Light Cinnamon Cider

First, I stamped one image on the inside card. (You can choose to color that image or leave it blank. I then placed a variety of stamped images on the Top Layer card. I also stamped my sentiment on the Daffodil Delight strip of paper. After my stamping was complete, I began to color. I then glued my DSP and Daffodil Delight strips together and adhered them to the top layer.  With Stampin' Dimensionals I placed the top layer on the front of the card.

Let's Party Treat Packaging

Are your ready to party?

For my Simple Sunday video this week, I focused on one of our kits that allows you to have your children participate.  It's really cute and a lot of fun!  The kit is called, Let's Party Treat Packaging.

With this kit you make pillow boxes that can hold special treats.  They are good for children's parties, where your child can share a special thankyou favor with their friends.

There are a few cute sayings to put on these pillow boxes, along with kangaroos and alligators to decorate with.  There are eight boxes all together and they are reversible so you can choose to do half yellow and half blue, or all eight the same color.  The choice is up to you!

Starting June 1st - June 30th, if you order one of any of our kits, you can get a second one half off!

Be sure to check out our kit collections and get yours while the deal lasts!

Then watch the joy your child will have when they know they have participated in planning for this party, but also have the opportunity of giving to their friends!

Celebrate In Color!

This month's Paper Pumpkin came with cards to make that are sure to bring a smile to someone's face!

Each of the new In Colors, 2022-2024, express a spirit of joy and encouragement.  They were soooo easy to put together.  What I like about these is you can also put a pocket on the inside where you can then place some money, a tea bag, or any small treat you desire.  They are really cool, and if you want to celebrate a spice of life with someone, this is the time.  You have until June 10th to order yours!  Just click here to sign up!  Now, let's take a look at these colorful cards!

Bottled Happiness

One of the new stamp sets that came out in our new Annual Catalog, January - April 2022, is called Bottled Happiness.  This set allows many versatile cards and messages.  I used the bundle of this set to make the last card I shared on this blog, Message in a Bottle.  Today, I am sharing another card that can be made with this set.  The following are the dimensions and products I used to make this card:

  • 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 card base, scored at 4-1/4
  • 5-1/4 x 4 Layer
  • Die cut from our scalloped contours die set
  • 5-1/4 x 4 Basic White (for inside)
The flowers stamped is a two-step process.  I first stamped the leaves in soft succulent, and then lined up the flowers with the leaves, stamping those in fresh freesia.

I chose the bottle and sentiment that I wanted to use and stamped those images.

Everything was stamped on the die cut piece from the Colors and Contours die set.

Hello Ladybug!

Stampin' Up has several stamp sets and punches or die cuts that make some of the cutest cards!  We like to call them our Cute Critters.  Today's card is a great representation of that!

The dimensions and tools needed for this card are as follows:

Cardbase:  color of choice, 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"

Layer: 5-1/4" x 4"

I used our Brick and Mortar 3-D embossing folder to make the background on the layer.

I stamped 3 flowers and a leaf from the Hello Ladybug stamp set and cut them out, adhering them in the pattern that I wanted on my card.

I punched out the ladybug, stamped it's spots and assembled it together.  I then place the ladybug on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

This card was very easy to make.  The most time consuming part was cutting out the flowers and leaf, and that wasn't even very long.  Here are the products you will need to make this card:

Team Fun! -- Sketch Challenge

The team that I am a part of, Stamping with the Stars, have a monthly challenge where we make about 10 different cards, putting our creative juices into play.  One of the challenges that we have each month is called a Sketch Challenge.  We are given a sketch of a card and then we create whatever comes to mind from that sketch.  This month we were given this sketch:

Using the Hues of Happiness DSP and die set, I created this slim card:
  • Base Card: 8-1/2" x 7-1/2", scored at 3-1/4" (portrait side)
  • Basic White cardstock: 3" x 8-1/4" for the inside.
  • Scrap piece of basic white, approximately 3" square in size.
  • Three 2-1/4" squares. I used Night of Navy cardstock for these.
  • Ribbon of choice.
  • Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper
  • Hues of Happiness Die Cuts
  • Stamping Dimensionals
  • Stampin Seal
  • Mini Dots
I first spread my ribbon out and tied on bow on each end.  I adhered the bows with mini dots and put stamping seal on the flat side of the ribbon. After putting that in place I started on the squares.

Using the die cuts, I cut out the flowers from the DSP paper, and one cut from the basic white scrap piece.  I stamped my sentiment on the white flower that was cut from the scrap piece.

With Stamping Dimensionals I layered the smaller flowers on top of the larger ones and then adhered them to the 2-1/4" squares.  I also used the dimensionals to adhere my sentiment, and then all the squares in place.

I adhered the white cardstock for the inside with our Stampin Seal and the card was complete!

It was a lot of fun to dream and put together.  All the products I used are listed below.  If you are interested in any of these products, please visit my shop and order yours there.  Thanks for joining me today!
