Designer Series Paper

What is Designer Series Paper (DSP)?  It is patterned paper that comes in: 12x12 packs of 12 sheets, 2 each of 6 double sided designs, or 6x6 packs of 48 sheets, 8 each of 6 double sided designs. All sets are $11.50, unless specified differently in the catalog, as some packs come even bigger, or with specialty paper.

The designer paper helps add some beauty and fun to your paper crafting.  Use them as a layer or accent on a card, or to display a special paper crafting project, like I did with a shadow box.

Starting Thursday, July 1st, the DSP paper will be going on sale!

Simple Sunday--Joy Fold Card

I went live on You Tube today, for the first time.  I have to work out some "technical kinks" I'll call it.  Nothing technical went wrong but there are a few things I need to learn how to set up so that you can send me comments, and I'll be able to read them and answer your questions!

The video is entitled "test".  (That's one thing--how do I name the video ahead of time?)  I haven't figured out anyway to rename the video, so test will have to do.  😊

I will be returning on Tuesday with another of my Tickled Tuesday videos.  This one will be unlike any other video I've done before!  I'm so excited!  See you then!

Tickled Tuesday -- Blending Pens

Thanks for joining me today!  I'm going to show you a product today that I have recently learned how to use.  And, that's our blending pens. The blending pens are a coloring tool.  I can compare them best to coloring with markers.  Yet they are definitely different than markers. The blending pens bring coloring to a whole new level!  I remember when I first used them I said to myself, "Well, I'll never use these again!" And I came up with another idea to make my cards "work".  I later learned I was using the wrong stamping ink and there was a fun and more productive way to make my cards work! You purchase the blending pens separately in color sets.    Each color comes in a set of two, a dark shade and a light shade. Join me in my video to see the wrong way vs. the right way.

My present collection looks like this:

Expressions in Color Paper Pumpkin

Happy Sunday!  Happy Father's Day to all our Dad's out there!  I had to work until 4:00 p.m. today, and then I called my Dad,  so that's why I'm getting to this a little later in the day.

Here are the cards that were made from this kit.  These cards were the company's suggestions.  I hope to make some of my own someday:

The first card was with the purple/pink background.  I put the Evening Evergreen twine around the top half of the card first.  With glue dots I adhered the vellum flowers.  I stamped on the sentiment label with the Bumblebee ink spot and adhered that with dimensionals.

The second card was one of the small ones. I started by stamping floral images with my Evening Evergreen ink spot all over the green layer.  Next I adhered, with glue dots, the vellum "thanks" punch out die that they provided.  I stamped my sentiment on the small label provided, in the Bumblebee Ink and adhered that with dimensionals.  To top it off I added some sequence.

The third, and final card...I adhered the leafy vellum paper provided with glue dots, to the yellow card.  I took the punch out springs and layered them in the fashion they suggested, adhering with only one glue dot in the center of each.  Then I took 12" of the Evening Evergreen twine and made a large bow.  I took the Bumblebee ink spot and stamped my sentiment on the label provided and adhered that on top of the bow with dimensionals so that the sentiment and bow stuck together on the card.

Aren't they beautiful?  I think Stampin' Up out did themselves this time!  I think they are so pretty!  I'm excited to try out a few ideas of my own to use up the rest of the supplies!

Thanks for joining me today!  Be sure to follow me on this blog and leave any comments or questions below that you may have.  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and I'll see you soon during my Tickled Tuesday!

 Saturday's Surprise!

Hi Everyone!  First I want to apologize to those in my Private Facebook Group.  Facebook or YouTube--not sure which, decided to add a video advertisement to my post and they inserted it in such a way that it looked like what I was trying to show it to you.  No!  My video is just over 5 minutes long and it shows you what my surprise was.  So, if you haven't been able to catch it yet, please check it out!   I did forget to show you what came in the little plastic bag. That is pictured right here:

I have to be to work early tomorrow morning, so I'll finish this all with another post sometime tomorrow. (Don't you just love the anticipation?!) 😄  Until tomorrow...

Tickled Tuesday-Punch It!

So, here I sit putting a card together and it needs something extra to make it perfect.  What can I do?  Punch it!  Stampin' Up!  has several punches that can be used to add a special touch to any card.  The punches can be used as labels for sentiments, or shapes to add to your cards.  Check out my Punch It! video to see all the possibilities!

Tickled Tuesday--My Favorite Thing #3

One of my favorite tools that Stampin' Up offers is the Take Your Pick tool.  It's the swiss army knife of tools for paper crafting!

Do you struggle with picking up sequins and gems?  Is it hard to remove the paper off of adhesives, like the tear and tape, dimensionals, or paper dots? How do you remove all those little papers from a delicate die cut?

There is a brush attachment that is sold separately for this tool. It's a little brush head that allows you to brush over the delicate die pieces to remove what is necessary to give you that delicate butterfly look, etc.  I don't have that attachment yet--on my wish list--so I won't be showing it today.  That we'll save for another video in the future.

When I made my video for this the lighting on my computer went dark, and then it went completely out, making me believe everything had gone black.  When I watched the video I realized what happened to me, never effected what you were seeing--whew! See my Tickled Tuesday, Favorite Thing - The Pick Tool - to see how it works!

Simple Sunday--Kits

From previous posts you know that I have been excited about the kits that have come out.  These kits are for crafters at any level, from the Novice beginner to those that love all kinds of paper crafting.

It's time to get together with family and friends that you haven't seen for awhile because of the past year's challenges.  Spend a couple of hours catching up and making cards to give away to those you wish to encourage!

Let me know when you want to do it, and I'll help you put together an invite.  We can meet personally or through a video chat.  Watch my Simple Sunday-Kits video to see just how easy and fun it is!

Here is a picture of a card from each of the two kits that I first purchased.

The stamping kit is called, "No Matter the Weather" and

the non-stamping kit is called, "Notes of Cheer."
