Triple Threat

Today I am going to show how you can make 3-6 cards all at once.  Thus, the name, Triple Threat!

This was so much fun because you can put together so many different patterns.  I focused only on three of them in my Triple Threat video, so that is what is shown here.

SIDE NOTE: I apologize, I did make a couple of mistakes.  In the video I mentioned the Designer Series Paper was cut at 3-1/4" and it should be 3-3/4".  I also said that the pinkish cardstock was Calypso Coral and that is wrong, it is Flirty Flamingo

To choose your colors, I would first decide on which Designer Series Paper (DSP) you want to use.  Look on the back of the DSP pack and see what colors are in that DSP set.  Stampin' Up! makes it easy to choose and match colors that will make beautiful cards!  I used the Hello Irresistible! Designer Series Paper.

You start by cutting your base cards, and second, your DSP paper and your cardstock background.  Here are the details:

PAPER:

Base Card:

  •  Basic White 4-1/4" x 11"
  • Decorative Punch: 3 - Basic White

Cardstock:

  • Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, and Lost Lagoon 4" x 5-1/4" each
  • 2-3/8" Circle punch of each colored cardstock
Designer Series Paper: watch the video carefully to see how this part is done.
  • Hello, irresistible! choose three sheets that you like together and cut them in one pile at 3-3/4" x 5"
  • Next place the top-left point, and the bottom-right point 1" from the track and cut.
  • Then place the bottom point (left-bottom point) in the track and cut.

Homemade Hug

I think you will understand when I mention the fact it seems this world has lost its love for each other.  I don't mean just different races, but I also refer to our family and friends. When was the last time you were in contact with those you love?  Social Media is a great way to be connected, but in many ways, it also has disconnected us. Whether we want to admit it or not, we all long for the handshake, the hug, the personal/face-to-face laughter, and the conversations. It saddens me when Christmas comes around, and many are left alone because no one even sent something as simple as a card to say, "I'm thinking of you this holiday." It used to be that a special card or letter sent in the mail was so exciting to receive, and we felt loved and appreciated by the sender!  It was personal and not shared with the rest of the world to see or read. That personal moment is why I do what I do.  I love to send cards to let my loved ones know they've been on my mind and my prayers have been for them.

Today is no exception.  The card I am sharing today is a special way to say, "I love you".  It's very easy to make and a lot of fun to put together! Here's what you will need:
