Fun Fold Card -- Let It Snow!

Today's card is a really simple fun fold card to make.  I really like how it turned out and I think you will too!

In my example, this is what I used:

  • Card base:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Scored at 4-1/4" and 2-1/7" Tahitian Tide Cardstock
  • Strip: 5-1/4" x 1-7/8" Tahitian Tide Glimmer Paper
  • Inside Layer: 5-1/4" x 4" Basic White
  • Top Layer of the center:  2-1/2" x 3-1/2" Basic White
  • Middle Layer of the center:  3-3/4" x 2--3/4" Tahitian Tide Glimmer Paper
  • Bottom Layer of center:  3"X 4" Tahitian Tide Cardstock
  • Joyful Flurry Stamp Set, found in our 2022 June - December Mini Catalog, Page 19
  • Tahitian Tide Stamp Pad
  • Night of Navy Stamp Pad
  • Festive Pearls, found in our 2022 June - December Mini Catalog, Page 31
  • Multi-Purpose Glue
  • Stampin Seal
  • Stampin Dimensionals
  • Take Your Pick Tool
  • Paper Trimmer
The first thing to be done is to score your card base.  Use your bone folder to burnish all the folds so that the card lays flat.  You will fold the card in a Z-fold, which you see when you stand the card up on its side.

Then you want to stamp Your Basic White Pieces.  Using the Tahitian Tide Stamp Pad, border one side of the Inside Layer with one of the medium-sized snowflake stamps.  Take the large snowflake stamp and stamp that image on the small Basic White piece.  Then stamp the sentiment, Let It Snow on the front, using the Night of Navy Stamp Pad.

Time to assemble:  Place the Strip on the front panel of the card.  Place the Inside Layer with the border to the right, or if you wish, to the left.  Next using the multipurpose glue, adhere the Middle Layer of the center to the Bottom Layer of the Center.  Using Stamp-in' Dimensionals adhere to the Top Layer of the Center.  Place multi-purpose glue on the left side of the centerpiece and adhere to the first panel.  Top off the card with some Festive Pearls and you have a beautiful winter card to share with those you love!

Note:  The package for the pearls says Red and Green Adhesive Back Pearls, but the catalog calls them Festive Pearls.  Just wanted to note that in case there was any confusion.

Peekaboo Farm

Making kid's cards are so fun to do and this card is no exception!  Using the Peekaboo Farm stamp set and dies, I was able to create a cute, fun card. It's simple, it's quick and if that's what you're looking for, then this card is for you!

Here's what you need:

  • Cardbase:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
  • Top layer:  same color as your base, 5-1/4" x4"
  • Inside layer: 5-1/4" x 4"
  • Designer Series Paper 5-1/4" x 4"
  • Basic White Layer 5-1/4" x 4"
  • Peekaboo Farm Stamp Set
  • Picture this Dies
  • Blending Pens or Watercolor Pencils to color the animals
  • Classic Matte Dots
  • Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine
  • Pick Your Tool
  • Stampin' Seal
  • Multi-Purpose Glue
  • Stampin' Dimensionals

You will need to use the circle dies from the Picture Dies set.  You will need to center this die on your Designer Series Paper, your Basic White Layer, and your top layer.  Cutting out the pattern on each piece.

Choosing the circles that were cut loose from your die-cut pieces, you will stamp and color your images.

Raise the top layer with Stampin' Dimensionals so that it lays nicely on the center of your card and gives enough height so that your cut circles will give that "sunken in" look.

Add your circles that were cut from the Designer Series Paper and top it off with your embellishments.

Back To School

The school year has been in session for a couple of weeks now and everyone is starting to get settled in.  Today's card is part of a series of cards that I have made.  I call them my "Back to School" set.  This card, in particular, can be given to a teacher, office personnel, or an assistant...the choice is totally up to your child!

These are the materials you will need:

  • Card Base: 5-1/2" X 8" scored at 4-1/4" (I used Pumpkin Pie Cardstock)
  • Top Layer: 5-1/4" x 4" DSP (I used the Wonderful World--now retired.  You can make your choice))
  • Inside Layer: 5-1/4" x 4" (I used Basic White Cardstock)
  • 2-3/4" x 3/4" strip (pumpkin pie scrap)
  • 2-1/2" x 5/8" strip (basic white scrap)
  • Cheerful Basket Bundle
  • Soft Seedlings Stamp Set (for sentiment)
  • 4" x 4" Early Espresso Cardstock
  •  11" of Embroidered Ribbon
  • Brushed Brass Butterflies
  • Real Red Blending Pens
  • Old Olive Blending Pens
  • Black Memento Stamp Ink Pad
  • Early Espresso Stamp Ink Pad
  • Old Olive Stampin' Ink Pad (for sentiment)
  • Multi-Purpose Glue
  • Stampin' Seal
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Mini Glue Dots
  • Bone Folder
  • Take Your Pick Tool
  • Paper Snips
  • Mini Cut and Emboss Machine

I used Pumpkin Pie Cardstock for my base.  I used Basic White for the inside of my card, and the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper (which has now retired) for the top layer of my card.  I set aside two strips of paper, the larger one was with Pumpkin Pie and the smaller strip was basic white.  I stamped my sentiment on the white, using a saying from the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set.  Using my Paper Snips, I made one side of each strip into a banner or flag piece. I took one of the basket dies, one of the basket stamps, and the pile of apples stamp from the Cheerful Basket Bundle.  I used the Early Espresso Stampin' Ink Pad to stamp the basket on Early Espresso cardstock.  I then cut that out with one of the dies.  I took the apples stamp and stamped the image onto some Basic White cardstock, using Black Memento Ink, and cut that out with a die cut as well.

I colored the apples and leaves with our Real Red and Olive Green Blending Pens.  Using the Multi-Purpose Glue, I adhered the apples' end to the basket's top end-back side.  I adhered the whole basket of apples with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Next, I took my Basic White strip and adhered that to the Pumpkin Pie Strip with the Stampin' Seal. Then I placed the entire sentiment on the card with Stampin Dimensionals as well.

Cutting 11" of the Embroidered Ribbon, I made a bow and adhered that to the basket with a mini glue dot.  To top it all off, I took the Take Your Pick Tool and placed 3 Brushed Brass Butterflies on the card.  I burnished the card with my Bone Folder, and it was finished!

Love it!  Love it!  Check out my video to see what other Back to School Cards I made!
