Rising Gift Card Holder

I'm always looking for fun, new ways to create a gift card holder, and this year is no exception.  I love this technique.  I call it the Rising Gift Card Holder.  I got the idea and measurements from one of my team members, Connie Paulman, and she in turn got it from another demonstrator, Jennifer Cotton.  It's easy to make and a lot of fun to do!  Here is what you will need:

  • Card base: 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”
  • Top Layer: DSP, 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Basic White Fold:  4-1/4” x 9-3/4”, scored at 3-1/4” and 6-1/2”
  • DSP layer for the top of the fold: 2”x 3-3/4”
  • Basic White Scratch Paper: ¼” x 3-3/4”
  • DSP for pocket: 2” x 4” cut a small opening with the smallest layering circle (die cut half of the circle)
  • Red and White 6 x 6 Glimmer Paper
  • Gorgeous Grape Card Stock
  • Hope and Peace Stamp Set
  • In Color 2022-2024 6 x 6 Glimmer Paper
  • 12 x 12 Glimmer Paper
  • Tree Lot Dies
  • Layering Circle Dies
  • Embellishments
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Stampin' Seal
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • Take Your Pick
  • Cut & Emboss Machine
I started by stamping my sentiment(s) on the Basic White Scratch Paper and the center section of the Basic White Fold.

I cut out my trees and snow from the Tree Lot Dies Set and glued the snow pieces to the trees with the multipurpose liquid glue. I then began to assemble everything.

With the Stampin' Seal, I put the Top Layer on my card base.  And the white glimmer paper from the 12 x 12 set, for the top of the fold.

Taking the Stampin' Dimensionals, I put the trees on top of that fold with my sentiment.  Using the multipurpose liquid glue, I added a very thin line of glue around the sides and bottom of the pocket and adhered that to the bottom fold.

The entire fold was added to the base with Stampin Seal and embellishments were added to the top.

How fun is that?!  Now you too can make a simple, fun-fold gift card holder.
