Column Pop-Up Card

Are you ready to make a card that truly pops? This Center Column Pop-Up Card is so easy to create.  It makes a really cute and/or pretty card. I recommend watching the video to see how it is put together.  Below are the products used and the steps by which this card was made.

The paper used in my video was:

  • Melon Mambo Cardstock
  • Terrific Toadstools 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper
  • Basic White Cardstock
  • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
  • Early Espresso Cardstock

First, you will need two 8-1/2" X 5-1/2" pieces of the Melon Mambo Cardstock

One piece you will score at 4-1/4" to fold it to make your base card.

The second piece you will make several scores: On the 8-1/2" side, score at:  1/2", 1-1/4", 2", 2-3?4", 5-1/2", 6-1/4" 7", and 7-3/4".  You will then slide the paper to 8-1/2" and cut 1/4" off the end.  This piece will be 5-1/2" X 8-1/4" in its entirety.

Next, you will fold on all the score lines and crease them good with your bone folder.  You will then fold the ends to the back to create 2 pillar columns, one on each side.
You can then glue the two columns to your base.  Watching the video will help you understand how to do this.

Choose a piece of 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper and emboss it.  ( I used the 6" X 6" Terrific Toadstools. Then you will cut a 5/8" X 5-1/2" piece, a 2-1/2" X 5-1/2" piece, and then one more 5/8" X 5-1/2" piece.  As you watch the video, you will see how to apply these pieces and decorate your card. I used the Terrific Toadstools Photopolymer Stamp Set.
