Foiled Cards

I found this technique on a reel that came across on my phone.  Over the last few days, I have been trying to find that reel so I could share it with you, showing who actually demonstrated this technique.  I am sorry to state that I have not seen it, so I don't have a name to give credit to.  However, you can go to my video and see how they are made.  Here are the products used in this video:

(Holographic Foiled Paper)

PAPER

  • Early Espresso Cardstock 5-1/2" X 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
  • Basic Beige Cardstock 5-1/4" X 4"
  • Holographic Trio Foiled Specialty Paper (old paper that SU sold at one time) 3-3/4" X 5"

INK

  • Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Blending Pens:
    • Dark Shaded Green
    • Dark Darling Duckling
    •  Dark Timid Tiger
    • Dark Pecan Pie

ADHESIVES

  • Tear n' Tape
  • Stampin' Seal

EMBELLISHMENTS

  • Linen Thread
  • Label (I used something left over from a previous kit)

TOOLS

  • Sunflower Embossing Folder
  • Bone Folder
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
I would suggest using the Silver or Gold Foiled Paper located in our Annual Catalog, under Specialty Papers.  It won't bring as much flashy color to your card as shown in the video, with the holographic paper. It will be subdued, but just as beautiful.  I tried doing it on regular tin foil.  The foil "flattened" as I colored it but still made a great image.  I am looking forward to receiving my foiled paper to try it on that and compare all the differences.
