Double the DSP

 I decided to play around with my Designer Series Paper (DSP) and see what I could create with using two different kinds; matching them up to make a simple and fun card!  This Christmas card is what I had put together in my Tickled Tuesday video this week.

Here's what you need:

PAPER:

• 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Cardstock (I used Shaded Spruce)
• 5-1/4" x 4" (One should be basic white for your inside message, and I used basic black for to mat my top layer).
• 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" DSP (I used Joy of Christmas 12" x12" DSP)
• 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" DSP (I used the 6" x 6" Regal DSP)

STAMPS:

• Christmas Classics Photopolymer Stamp Set

INK:

• Garden Green Stampin Pad
• Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad

ADHESIVES:

• Stampin Seal
• Stampin Dimensionals

EMBELLISHMENTS:

• White Baker's Twine

Gift Bags

 I love being able to make my own gifts and sharing them with others and making accessories is no exception.  Today we will focus on making a gift bag.  The following bag was inspired by Jill Olsen, an assistant at Stampin' Up!  View the video of how this is made and create your own.  Have fun!

Here's what you will need:

(2) pieces of 12” x 12” DSP

Score at 3”, 9”, turn the paper a ¼ to the left and score 1-1/2” and 9.”

The 1-1/2" will be the top of your bag.  Snip the bottom score lines to the next scoreline on each piece of paper.

On one piece only, also cut from the side in to meet the next scoreline. You will then have two side flaps at the top.

Fold on all the score lines.  Glue the bottom pieces together to make the bottom of your bag.

The piece that does not have the flaps fits inside the piece that does have the flaps.  Glue the bottoms together.

Glue the sides together.  You will tuck the flaps underneath the outside bag.

Glue the outside of the flaps before tucking them in

Use a wide ribbon as your carrier, punching holes on each side of the bag.

Gift Card Holders

 

It's the Holiday season and if you're like my family, gift cards go well for everyone on our list of gifts for others.  Today, I shared with you a couple of Gift Card Holder ideas.

 Easy Side-Pocket Gift Card Holder

• 11” x 4-1/4”, score at 1-1/2”, 5-1/2” Cardstock
• (2) pieces of DSP, both 1/2” x 4”
• (1) 3-3/4” x 4” of the same DSP and (1)  3-3/4” x 4” of Basic White

DSP only the Bottom part of the Gift Card Holder

• 4” x12”, score on the 12” side:  ¾”, 5”, 10-1/2” 
• Inside Basic White panel 3-1/4” by 5-1/4”

With Cardstock...

• 4” x 12” Cardstock, score on 12” side, ¾”, 5”, 10-1/2”
• 3-3/4” x4” DSP for outside layer
• 1-1/4” X 3-3/4” DSP for inside pocket strip
• ½” x4” strip of cardstock for the outside
• 3-3/4” x 5-1/4” basic white inside panel

Trucking Along Bundle

If you're looking for an easy, fun and cute Christmas card, this Trucking Along Bundle is exactly what you need! The card was so fun to make.  The stamp set in this bundle is somewhat confusing to look at because there is two of every stamp, but that's because it is a two-step process.  Which means you would first stamp the outline of an image and then second, stamp a color into the first image.  It's really easy to do and a fun way of putting together a card.  Here's what you will need:
