The team that I am a part of,
Stamping with the Stars, have a monthly challenge where we make about 10 different cards, putting our creative juices into play. One of the challenges that we have each month is called a Sketch Challenge. We are given a sketch of a card and then we create whatever comes to mind from that sketch. This month we were given this sketch:
Using the Hues of Happiness DSP and die set, I created this slim card:
- Base Card: 8-1/2" x 7-1/2", scored at 3-1/4" (portrait side)
- Basic White cardstock: 3" x 8-1/4" for the inside.
- Scrap piece of basic white, approximately 3" square in size.
- Three 2-1/4" squares. I used Night of Navy cardstock for these.
- Ribbon of choice.
- Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper
- Hues of Happiness Die Cuts
- Stamping Dimensionals
- Stampin Seal
- Mini Dots
I first spread my ribbon out and tied on bow on each end. I adhered the bows with mini dots and put stamping seal on the flat side of the ribbon. After putting that in place I started on the squares.
Using the die cuts, I cut out the flowers from the DSP paper, and one cut from the basic white scrap piece. I stamped my sentiment on the white flower that was cut from the scrap piece.
With Stamping Dimensionals I layered the smaller flowers on top of the larger ones and then adhered them to the 2-1/4" squares. I also used the dimensionals to adhere my sentiment, and then all the squares in place.
I adhered the white cardstock for the inside with our Stampin Seal and the card was complete!
It was a lot of fun to dream and put together. All the products I used are listed below. If you are interested in any of these products, please visit my shop and order yours there. Thanks for joining me today!
