I am always looking for another creative way to make a fun fold card. This time I came across this Corner Flip. Many demonstrators have done this before, but I thought Wendy Cranford from luvinstampin.com explained it best.
Here's what you will need:
- Cardbase: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4" your choice of color
- Layer: 4" x 5-1/4" of your favorite Designer Series Paper
- Stitched (or unstitched) White Square - size 2-3/4" x 2-3/4"
- 5-1/4" x 4" inside layer should your cardstock be dark
- Glue your Designer Series Paper to the front of the card base.
- Open the card so it lays flat. Place the top right corner of the card at the 3" mark at the top of the ruler. Use the blade on the trimmer bar and cut from 5/8" to the 3" mark.
- Turn the card upside down, still open; line it up at the 3" mark at the top of the trimmer and cut from the cut line already made to the 4-7/8" mark on the trimmer bar.
- Carefully flip the square corner of the front of the card backward, adjusting as need be, so that the designer series paper is now facing the inside of the card. Glue the tip of the flipped square to the front of the card base so that it stays in place.
This card takes a little bit of planning and thinking through your measurements, but it adds some beauty and grace to a homemade card. To see how this card is made, go to my YouTube Video. Have fun!
