Sweet Candy Canes

 This year I have been looking for quick easy Christmas cards to make.  Today's card is just that!  Using the Scalloped Contour Dies (pg. 74 of the Annual Catalog) and the Sweetest Christmas Suite (pg. 8-11 of our Mini catalog) I have created a sweet candy cane Christmas card!  Check it out!

You will need:

• Base card:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Real Red Cardstock
• Layer: Largest Die Cut of the Scalloped Contours using the Glimmer 12" x 12" Paper (Gold sheet)
• Inside Layer: 5-1/4" x 4" Basic White
• Sweet Candy Canes Bundle
• Scalloped Contours Dies
• Real Red Classic Stamp Pad
• Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins
• Sweetest Christmas 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP)
• Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack (12" of the real red)
• Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue
• Stampin' Seal
• Stampin' Dimensionals
• Mini Glue Dots
• Clear Blocks H & D
• Paper Snips
• Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine

First, we stamp: 

• Merry & Bright stamp, in real red, on a scrap piece of basic white
• Wishing you lots of love...stamp on the inside layer, in real red

Second, we cut:

• Using the candy cane dies, cut out two candy canes from the Sweetest Christmas 12" x 12" DSP
• Using the largest die cut from the Scalloped Contour Dies, cut the God sheet of the 12" x 12" Glimmer Specialty Paper
• With Paper Snips, cut around your sentiment

Next, we assemble:

• Using the Stampin' Seal, adhere the inside layer to the inside of the Base Card
• Using the Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, adhere the contour die to the front of the base card.
• Using Stampin' Dimensionals Adhere the candy canes in a crisscross pattern to the front and place your sentiment above that.
• Make your bow with the real red ribbon and using a mini glue dot, place your ribbon on the top/center of the candy canes.
• Add the Green Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins for an extra touch.
