If you are looking for an idea of how to get rid of some of the Designer Series Paper that you have extra of around the house, today's card is a very simple card to help you use it up. This is so simple that you could make several cards at one time using a set of the DSP. Lots of thank you cards or birthday cards, etc. I got this idea from Jackie Bohluis, Klompen Stampers, another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
Here's what you will need:
PAPER:
- You will need a 6" X 6" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) that has two sides that you would like together. I used the Countryside Inn 12" x12" DSP and cut it down to the 6" X 6". From this smaller piece of paper, you will make several cuts:
- 3/4" X 6" is cut on one side, you won't need this strip, but the end that you cut it off from will become the "bottom" of your sheet.
- (2) 1"- 5-1/4" cut from the right side of your sheet.
- You should now have a piece that is 4" X 5-1/4" left over.
- Next you will cut a 5-1/2 "square of a coordinating cardstock. Score at 1" on one side of the square. I used Night of Navy Cardstock
- Basic White 8-1/2" X 11" Thick Cardstock for your sentiment
