A Fall Blessing

 If you are looking for a soft, yet beautiful card to give someone who has been a true blessing to you, then this is the card you want.

This card is made with our blending pens creating the Bokeh effect.  Bokeh is a photographer term used to create a picture where parts of the picture are blurred, while the rest is clear.  It gives a "distant" feel to parts of that picture.  This type of card is a lot of fun to make!

This is what you need:

• Card base:  5-1/2" x 8," scored at 4-1/4 (I used Evening Evergreen Cardstock)
• (2) 5-1/4" x 4" for the inside and the top layer (I used Basic White Cardstock)
• Hello Harvest Stamp Set
• Early Espresso Ink Pad
• Real Red Ink Pad
• Crushed Curry Ink Pad
• Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad
• Garden Green Ink Pad
• Blending Brushes
• Leaf Label and Amber Gems
• 36" of Linen Thread
• Wink of Stella

The first thing I did is take the brown maple leaf and stamped my sentiment on it.  Then I laid it aside. For the inside layer, I stamped a leaf in the lower right-hand corner of one of the Basic White Cards to give a nice touch to the inside of the card. I then adhered that to the inside of my base card.  

I traced the leaf pattern twice on two pieces of strong adhesive Post-It Notes. I cut them out and placed them on the other Basic White Card. I then gathered my blending brushes and my Ink Pads. I took one color at a time and colored over the card, spreading each color in different areas of the card. Then I took the leaves off and colored the images.

I then took my Linen Thread and wrapped it around the middle of the card, tying it on the brown maple leaf that had my sentiment on it.  I put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back and adhered it to the front of my card base.  Next, I added 3 gems and I put Wink of Stella throughout the top of the card to give it some extra sparkle!
